NOW HIRING...Bethel Police Department is looking to fill 1-2 Police Officers Positions:
Duties and Responsibilities: Suppression of criminal activity; protect life and property, conducting investigations, regulate non-criminal conduct. Patrol streets in a police car or on foot; develop rapport with merchants, community groups, and civic organizations. Check doors and windows; examine premises of unoccupied residences or buildings; detect unusual conditions, may maintain surveillance and observation for stolen cars, missing persons, or suspects; report dangers or other hazardous conditions. Regulate and direct vehicular traffic; issue citations for violation of traffic regulations, apprehend and process criminal suspects and transportation to the magistrate and /or Pitt County Detention Center.
Candidates must hold a High School Diploma or GED; N.C. Driver's Licenses, and have their N.C. Basic Law Enforcement Training Certification. Starting salary at $30,000.
